TORN BETWEEN THE TWO
Open your eyes for a second.
Take a look around.
Lift your head and look at the world.
Stop staring at the ground.
You have so many choices to make.
It's time to make one now, love.
So open your eyes just a bit more,
And choose who will belove.
To you right, you have a man
Who you have loved for so long.
The beat of his heart
Is your love's undying song.
You wish he'd be yours.
Because you can't stop thinking of him.
And you know your love is so true,
And you hope his feelings for you are not dim.
His smile makes you glow.
His laugh makes you daydream.
You wish he spoke to you more often,
You wish he would unveil his scheme.
Because you want to know what goes on in his head.
If he ever thinks about you.
If he knows how you feel.
If he has a special cue.
Okay, wait and stop staring at him!
You have another choice.
Look to your left now,
And listen to this unheard voice.
Here is a man who loves you so.
Take a look at him now.
You haven't noticed his feelings before.
To never leave you, he vows.
He says he never saw anyone more beautiful
Then the women who looks at him now.
He always wanted to tell you what his heart said,
But he never knew how.
He is someone whose heart beats to your voice,
Whose mind wanders at your sight.
Who looks into your eyes and sees your soul.
Who dreams of your love at night.
Now look to your right again.
Look at that handsome guy.
And ask yourself this question.
If you choose him, why?
Now look to your left.
At then man who smiles through his soul.
And ask yourself this question.
Is his love your final goal?
You have a choice to make now,
So open your eyes just a bit more.
Are you confused now?
Of your answer, are you not sure?
Torn between the two.
Which one would you choose?
The one that you love,
Or the one who loves you?
